The Aged & Signed Frehley Burst Archive
I've attached copies of Gibson Custom's spec sheets for The Frehley Burst guitars ... version 1 (below left) and version 2 (below right). To be honest, I was really disappointed to read the final version (below right) that they released, for the simple reason that it makes it sound as though they went almost entirely off Ace's "recollections" of the original, when creating the guitars. Here's my main issues and why ...
1.) Ace didn't lose the guitar, as they state ... he "relinquished any claim" to it. It's on The Frehley Burst Story page.
2.) At no point do they mention anything about Al Romano, the original guitar's owner since 1988; or the fact that he flew the guitar to Gibson Custom for them to study, photograph and document in the kind of detail that NOBODY can simply "recall" ... especially not after nearly 30 years apart !
Don't get me wrong ... the reproductions of The Frehley Burst are amazing and Gibson Custom really knocked it out of the park ! But, the story they provided for 'how' they did it, is just a little off.

The idea to archive the 50 Aged & Signed Frehley Burst guitars was actually presented to me by my long-time
friend John 'JP' Phillips and this collection of pictures is entirely and exclusively the result of his efforts !!!!
We're only missing #11 and #35. A few more pictures of #13, #20 and #25 would complete the archive !!
